D-Class: The lowest and weakest of all mages. Those of this rank are limited to items and skills of equal level or one rank higher. D-Class mages typically carry out jobs with low difficulties and travel in groups of two or more when traveling to another kingdom.

  • Requirements for Promotion: Default Rank
  • Mana: 100
  • Magic Limit: 25 spells

C-Class: Mages with an average level of physical and magic power. Those of this rank are limited to items and spells of only one rank higher, or of a lower rank. C-Class mages are permitted to travel by themselves and can try to take on harder jobs than before.

  • Requirements for Promotion: C-Class Mage Trials
  • Mana: 200
  • Magic Limit: 33 spells

B-Class: Mages who possess above average skill in magic and power. These mages are more qualified to participate in the Grand Magic Festival held in Fiore.

  • Requirements for Promotion: B-Class Mage Trials
  • Mana: 300
  • Magic Limit: 45 spells

A-Class: These mages possess exceptional level of magic power and can mostly be seen taking on difficult jobs. Those of this class have proven their capability, but they still struggle against those of higher ranks.

  • Requirements for Promotion: A-Class Mage Trials
  • Mana: 400
  • Magic Limit: 55 spells

S-Class: Elite mages who possess unrivaled skill and power in the world of magic. They can take on the most difficult jobs, but still have the risk of death to worry about. However, job rewards are worth the risk. S-Class Mages have the potential to become the master of a guild they are in should the conditions be met.

  • Requirements for Promotion: S-Class Mage Trials
  • Mana: 500
  • Magic Limit: 65 spells

Ascended Class: The "Ascended" class is a league of mages who have surpassed all others after mastering their abilities fully. These are the ones whose power is comparable to that of a dragon. The Ascended mages are capable of taking on any job without as much of a chance for failure as others. It is said that the only one capable of defeating an Ascended mage, is another. Although, it may be possible for an S-Class should they perform a decisive strategy and have support from fellow mages. Ascended mages can be found anywhere in the world. Either in a Legal Guild, a Dark Guild, or just wandering without any affiliation.
What Makes Ascended Mages Special?: The most unique attribute about an Ascended mage is their connection with the spirits of dragons from history. Their souls have been infused with a portion of the dragons' spirits, granting them the power to bestow the same privilege to others who qualify to become one as well.
How to Become an Ascended Mage: Unlike the other classes, the Ascended class cannot be reached by going through a Mage Trial. Instead, certain tasks must be completed before one can become Ascended.

  • Approval from 2 Ascended Mages or an Admin.
  • Must have been a Guild Master or the leader of a unit.
  • Must have been an S-Class Mage before becoming Ascended.
  • All stats must be capped at S-5.

Alternative Route: There is an alternative to becoming an Ascended Mage. One must be an S-Class mage and combat a spawned Ascended Dragon, defeating it in combat. Thus, granting them the soul of that dragon's spirit, which gives them Ascended status.
